For the past 15 years Richard Daniels has been the driving force behind one of the South Shore’s most popular restaurants. Serving as chef of this American bar & grill, Richard has been responsible for the award-winning meals being served at breakfast, lunch & dinner. Specializing in breakfast fare, Richard has incorporated traditional comfort food into the menu, while still keeping an eye on latest trends to keep the customers coming back. Such items as Lobster Benedict with Dill Hollandaise and Pumpkin Pancakes with Whipped Cinnamon Butter & Caramelized Bacon are just two of the inventive breakfast dishes he has featured over the years.
For over 30 years Richard has cooked in home-style kitchens throughout the South Shore. Since his first cooking job at the age of 13 (from which he was fired when his true age was revealed), Richard knew he wanted to be a chef. His culinary degree from Quincy Vocational High School laid the groundwork for his successful career.
This South Shore native says his experience cooking in diners (as well as for family & friends) has helped shape his food philosophy over the past two decades. Efficiency, variety & quality have become the backbone of the Stars’ experience with Richard at the helm.

Since joining Stars back-of-the-house team in 1996 Sean Martin has learned from some of the best chefs & culinary minds the South Shore has known: Joe Simone, Paul Wahlberg & for the past eight years Tosca executive chef Kevin Long, among others. And now student has become teacher. Working his way up from an introductory role in the kitchen to head chef, Sean has helped stabilize Stars’ menu as a force to be reckoned with.
Sean directs his staff to execute Stars’ large menu with an uncompromising attention to detail that ensures a great looking (and tasting) meal every time. Often jumping from station to station behind the line throughout the course of a given shift, Sean has the ability to produce great food in a rapid fire manner that is unmatched by many of his peers.
A native and current resident of Hull, Sean dines out regularly at many of the same establishments that provide his fiercest competition. He is able to continue the learning process that began so long ago, subsequently “feeding” his hunger for knowledge of all things food-related. And back in Stars’ kitchen he quietly goes about his business, never searching out the spotlight. Yet with his extraordinary cooking abilities, he remains firmly in it.
